When you turn the paranis on, do both "connect" lights blink after a second or two? In any case, I would try pairing them again. Look in your quick start guide for instructions. Another thing.... when I first got mine I had problems with the gender changer (adapter). We ended up buying the ones Sena sells and they've worked since.

Me. "What's the difference?"
T.C. Carroll "It's the difference between right and wrong!"

If you are using the attached battery packs make sure they are making good connection. Chris and I were working one day, and we were having trouble connecting, and it was the battery not making a good connection.

Your antenna may have been damaged if you dropped it or bumped it. My data collector, and the attached Parani SD1000 slid off the seat of the UTV onto the floorboard last week, and bent my antenna. I was able to bend the wire back, and reinstall the rubber cover. It still works, but I am going to swap the data collector unit and the instrument unit, just in case. I keep an extra pair in the truck just in case.

I have a feeling that Topcons don't like the 1000. I have some bantams that had worked flawlessly for years. When one of the BTs went, I sent it for repair and they could never get to 1000 to talk to a topcon. Worked with some others though.
Trying to source some of the old Paranis now.

JB, have you contacted Troy at Deaton's Geotronics?

I have been using the SD1000 units with my Topcon GPT8005A for two years without incident. They have actually worked pretty good.

Yes. He is the MAN.
As far as I know, he created the Bantam setup when he was at Hayes. That's where I got mine. For some reason though, he couldn't get the 1000 to work with my 802. It seemed to work with some other brands of instrument. Running down the issue with Sena now.
