HR also get a bit upset when I refer to them as "Human Remains"
How about a couple hundred goats munching their way ahead of your crews.
A lot of Caribbean immigrants in the neighborhood, that might pose a goat replacement problem

They have to be herded as they wonder but don't knock curried goat. Nepali style goat curry is one of my all time favorite dishes. I know in S. Cal there are contractors that will bring in a herd to clear areas for firebreaks and they eat everything including poison oak, though I think I'll skip dining on one of those goats.

Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. (:

Surveyor: There is a project schedule already set? That would be nice to have. As for scanning, why don't you just ask if I can use f$%king magic, because both are just as realistic an option.
The site is 3 linear miles (120' wide) that generally looks like this
You send your clients your MH estimates? We tell them the cost and never ever let them see the manhour estimates.

Required on public works projects.

"Old" RR R/W's in FL usually mean there are deep ditches on both sides. And after you scare off snakes and and anything else that might kill you, wading through them is soooo much fun. 😉
I recently did 60,000 feet on a sewer project, the strip topo was about 40' in most areas, 100' at road crossings and 16' -20' in alleys, I based the price off another similar job that I calculated at the end of the project at $1 per linear foot. I have used this formula and tweaked it for different widths and difficultly. At one point through heavy vegetation we were only doing about 400'-600' per day but open areas as much as 2500' per day. I also did a topo through town down main street 100' wide for $2.5 per foot. Not to much vegetation or tall buildings but a lot of features. I think this a good way to gauge this type of projects.
Good luck

Keyboard jockeys and monitor ticks seems a little more appropriate....

hell, I thought he was talking about the brush. It's been awhile since I'd been to Austin.
I have not been there, but I have been there.
I am wrapping up a site plan. We were called after the architectural plans were done. The topo revealed that they were over their building height. They got some opinion that they would not need conservation approval. They needed a variance. We got them through and the attorney picked it up and said, what is this cupola? That will never be approved... when the building height failed, they severed part of the roof over a tower and called it a cupola. It should be at zoning by the end of the month.
Fortunately they already decided to wait until the fall to build it.

Well, would they be happier if you capitalized the M in monkey?
