I didn't get the flyer, but I thought you were talking about Javad at first. His ads are variations on that theme as well.
Appears to have been off a cliff
a $1000 and a hotel room in Vegas wouldn't include surveying equipment, if'n it were me 😉
- one .45 caliber automatic
- two boxes of ammunition
- four days concentrated emergency rations
- one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleepin' pills, tranquilizer pills
- one miniature combination Russian (pronounced 'Rooshan') phrase book and Bible
- $100 dollars in rubles
- $100 dollars in gold
- nine packs of chewin' gum
- one issue of prophylactics
- three lipsticks
- three pair of nylon stockin's
Kong comments positively: "Shoot, a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff."

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like "I feel a bit lightheaded; maybe you should drive..." And suddenly there was a terrible roar all around us and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, which was going about a hundred miles an hour with the top down to Las Vegas. And a voice was screaming: "Holy Jesus! What are these god@mn animals?"
Now if that thing can jump barb wire fences and hit the ground with both wheels I might take another look.

I was also thinking it was another ad by the black sheep that saved GPS.:-D
I told Eddie Clanton of Hayes Instrument a few years ago that I didn't want any more green "stuff". Leica may be some fine equipment, but it is completely different than anything else we run.
😀 :good:
I paid $30,000 to beta test a Leica product with my last GPS purchase. The results - never buy Leica again.
Ahhhh...Fear and Loathing...One of my favorite books.
Ol' Hunter S. Thompson (aka Uncle Raoul Duke in Doonesbury).
He went out with a bang. Committed suicide and ashes shot out of a cannon.
Inventor was Dean Kamen...he's still around.
Quite a talented inventor and entrepreneur.

Yes, he lives in southern NH and is involved in Promoting Science & Invention with children. He promotes these Fun-learning competitions involving robotics and teams competing against each other. The Segway however seemed like a stupid idea. The only thing it had going for it is the novelty of the 2 wheel balance. Three or four wheels is a far simpler way to balance a vehicle.
In the original script it was Dallas but Kennedy was shot in Dallas right before the movie was released so they changed it to Vegas.
