Anyone else using these for long term control or monitoring projects? Very handy for setting a pillar plate on a variety of materials and being able to use them post pour. Fair price too. $80 for one and I've seen some resellers offering 10 packs for around $60 a pop.

I had a round one made out of stainless steel at a nearby fab shop for my pillar, I don't remember the price but I thought it was reasonable at the time. 

 

That one looks good for adding to a concrete pillar after the pour. Do you have a link?
