pics of metal structures for tripod!
I'm about to do a survey configuration and contours of a ranch of large but there is a problem .., the vegetation is high for about 15-20 feet, my question is ... have any idea how to make a structure metal approximately 10-15 feet and it put the tripod to make this contour lifting?? .....
prism ... the stick and is about 16 feet, how I can put an extension to make it grandde, no, 22-25 feet, I can think of pvc pipe ....
... any suggestions???

estoy por realizar un levantamiento de configuracion y curvas de nivel de un rancho de grandes extensiones pero existe un problema.., la vegetacion es alta de aproximadamente 15-20 pies, mi pregunta es..., tienen alguna idea de como fabricar una estructura metalica de aproximadamente 10-15 pies y en ella colocar el tripie para hacer este levantamiento de curvas de nivel??.....
...el baston y prisma es de aproximadamente 16 pies, como le puedo poner una extension para hacerlo mas grandde, no se, de 22-25 pies, se me ocurre un tubo de pvc....

Use a fiberglass rod adapter:

Put the prism on the threaded end of a 4' range pole section. Add however many 4' sections of the range pole that you need, then attach range pole section to a prism pole.

Don't even need the prism. With some good retro-reflective tape on the backside of a 25' fiberglass rod, my Nikon 520 (non reflectorless) will shoot at least 600' with a 2" square at the top. Plus, the back of the ROD comes with a height graduation to measure clearances. Not good for control but topo might be OK
I don't think my robot will track reflective tape. Never tried it, though.

The instrument operator platform should be separate from the instrument to limit movement.
If you look real well at the Bilby tower you will see that it's two towers, one inside the other to avoid moving the instrument as John Putnam said in the previous post.
