Hello Oklahoma Surveyors,
Can you please tell me what is the best way to access existing Corner Records filed at the Department of Libraries?
After submitting the request form about how long does it usually take?
Thanks,

I get mine on www.hubtack.com, but there's a monthly fee involved. I use to call the folks at the DOL and they would fax them, but that's been five years ago. I would think if you're going snail mail it might take four or five days.
Generally they are good about turn around.
They're also very good at catching it when you write down the wrong county on submitted records...:-O

Hey paden,
Thanks for the info....so they are paying attention. Are they as serious as it sounds when it comes to penalties for non compliance?

Failure to file CCRs is one of the most common ways to lose your OK license, and they seem to pick off a few guys every year.

Hello Norman,
I've been reviewing for the exam this week and was surprised to see that much emphasis put on the corner record. Not heard of anyone in Arizona loosing their license for failure to comply. Thanks for the heads up!

I've been reviewing this as well and the Minimum Standards, heard there is big emphasis on these 2 things on the Oklahoma specific. I read both of the into a voice recorder app on my cell phone and have been listening to them both for a month. From reading the board disciplinary actions, it looks like they don't play around in Oklahoma. Good luck!

Hello Thomas,
I've written out both the Corner Record and Mininmum Standards and have been studying them for the past two months. When tired I recite them out loud to keep my mind from wondering. I've also heard that the 3 mile method, breaking down sections and fractional lots, double and single proportioning and history of surveys are in there. In any event I'll be glad when its over. See you there. Thanks for getting back to me.
