Have you changed out all the calendars in your office and elsewhere?

Do you have black-eyed peas on the menu for today? Or is it cabbage?

How long will it be before you finally stop putting 2014 on invoices and checks?

BTW, is it twenty-fifteen or two-thousand-fifteen?

It doesn't make a hill of beans to me, whichever, we are just as close to 2030 as we are to 2000 and I can retire in 2030.

We don't need no stinking calendars. We have the internet and cell phones.

> Do you have black-eyed peas on the menu for today? Or is it cabbage?

Nope, last bowl of the venison chili and watching a very depressing Spartan game as they self destruct. But it had black beans, pinto beans and lima beans and was really yummy, so does that count?

> How long will it be before you finally stop putting 2014 on invoices and checks?

Is it 2014 yet, and what is an invoice?

> BTW, is it twenty-fifteen or two-thousand-fifteen?

Last I checked we just entered the "naughties" a couple months ago(ok 180 months), so it's naught 15 I suppose. Jeez, can't we count anymore... 😉

Calendars? What calendars? My phone, tablet and PC all update themselves. ?

> Do you have black-eyed peas on the menu for today? Or is it cabbage?

As a matter of fact, I have Gramma's beef soup currently simmering on the stove. And it contains cabbage (well, not yet -- it goes in at the last 20 minutes or so). Gramma is no longer with us, but she helped me develop actual recipes from her best meals and I'm still surprised at how authentic they turn out.

> How long will it be before you finally stop putting 2014 on invoices and checks?

Checks? Might have to Google that. I use an online invoicing system that takes care of dates automatically.

> BTW, is it twenty-fifteen or two-thousand-fifteen?

I'm going with 20-15.

Only have a shop calender, I'll change it out when I get another free one.

Have a bag of ripe avacados which we will pair with some fajitas and rice.

How long will it be before you finally stop putting 2014 on invoices and checks?

We'll find out Sunday when I sign my first survey of the year.

BTW, is it twenty-fifteen or two-thousand-fifteen?

Two-thousand-fifteen.

Challenge question:

How long, thinking globally, did New Years Day last?

If time zones were equally spaced, 48 hours would be correct. See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_zone

Which shows time zones ranging from UT-12 hours to UT+14 hours. The zone at -12 hours in uninhabited. If that one is included, I get 50 hours.
