May is a good month for Christmas presents. 😉

You have all the right in the world to be excited. Remember, "The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys."

With all the expensive equipment I've purchased over the last 25 years I still get excited. All my employees know better than to open a new box before I get there...!

All you need now is a small point for the prism if you do a lot of stake out.

My Demo Instrument - Tesla Carbon Pole and Mini Point

My current set up for stake out:

Small point has Prism height of 170mm, the silver point 340mm and have a 300mm extension and bipod. Using the FC-500

Stake Out Set-up

The 170mm Point and Bipod are Seco, the point came as part of my package, the bipod i purchased to keep the DC out of the mud.

The 340mm Point and 300mm extension came off the bay

You'll get a lot of good tips here.
My contribution:
Reinforce that carbon fiber rod to avoid Rod Crush Syndrome at the DC bracket. A short piece of copper plumbing tube will do.

I have two of those silver mini poles on the left and am very happy with them.

The point was very rounded and I put on a lathe and turned it to a finer point so it would fit in a small dimple.

I like the tungsten point on the right end also, they are on my tripods.

:good:

I hope it's not replacing the irreplaceable man of all trades and talents Perry Williams?

It can't play the bass or make syrup or saw tres into boards.
