Brad - is that an electronic seal? I have a rubber stamp and I can't delete the text on the original...

Does anyone have a copy of just the certificate and not the whole instruction manual?

FEMA'S non-fillable pdf was 8.5x14 so my fillable pdf version at the top of this thread was also 8.5x14. FEMA's recently released fillable pdf version reverted to 8.5x11 thus my latest effort is also 8.5x11. Here's a link to the thread where I posted the latest version: https://surveyorconnect.com/community/threads/elevation-certificate-form-only.327413/&apos ;">Elevation Certificate - Form only

I've edited FEMA's 8.5x11 fillable pdf to remove the cover pages, instructions, etc. I also saved it as a Reader Extended pdf so that all users should be able to save the filled form in case edits or reprints are needed later. FEMA labeled the form pages 1-6 on this version and included the ability to add photos and seals. For those who want to wet seal the form, I've created a blank seal image that can be inserted in the seal field to cover the "Place seal here" text resulting in a printed form where the place for the seal is blank.

Is the form in link still allowed by FEMA? I'm headed out this morning to do my first EC in over a year so trying to make sure I have all my ducks in a row. It looks like the form on the FEMA site is 8x11 and non fillable

If you follow the link in message #53 above it will take you to the message where I posted the 8.5x11 version.

Stephen,
As I fill out 3-5 of these a week, your first post was very helpful and I thank you. However, I see FEMA has updated the form, it can be saved, and you can insert only 2 photos per page. Most importantly, your stamp and signature go on the page with the elevation information. I have 30 construction EC currently in process and haven't attempted to see if it works as good as it looks, but we are doing a final by the end of the week so I will know by then.

Howard, You are correct, FEMA did updated the form making it fillable, but there were a few issues remaining. If you look at this post https://surveyorconnect.com/community/threads/elevation-certificate-form-only.327413/ you'll find an updated version with a few tweeks that other posters requested. https://surveyorconnect.com/community/threads/elevation-certificate-form-only.327413/&apos ;">

I do have some problems, but have figured out ways around some of them. When I fill in a construction EC, I note how many vent square inches are needed, but since I don't feel it is my expertise to determine the brand or design, for the vent count put "2 minimum". The new form won't let you put text on that line, so I leave it blank and hand enter it. It will allow you to put NA on some lines, but it needs to be "N/A".

If you follow the link above and download the version that I modified, I believe that you'll find that was one of the issues that was addressed.
