I've always said that a good hand drafted plat is better than a computer generated one. There's something about a hand drafted one that just look's good!
And this one's an offical final plat-1908.

pppbbbbbfffffftttttttt...
That's typical fare here until the 30's or 40's.
Here's one of my favs:
besides not having anything tying the property to anything...
All the n-s lines in the plat appear to be curves, but no mention of such.

The landowner didn't like it much when I followed the plat to put the line on the ground.;-)
I enjoy picking the names for plats. We platted a prison for the state a couple of years back and named it "Gray-Bar Estates". The plat name for a Senior Housing complex was "Golden Achers". 😛
OK - let's get picky. Do they all have the same radius or do they all have the same radius point?
BTW - I like the one road name. BUTT
Electric Park today
curve data is a moot point...
And I think "Butt" in now NW 82nd. Street...sigh..nobody's a romantic anymore.
The road going to the County dump near where I live is named "Throwita Way."
a local adjacent county lets the owner/developer name his subdivision- we have one called CANTA FORDA RANCH:-D
This is my favorite local subdivision.
Mr. Clever actually named Horney Street and Cherry Street after his son and daughter. And Butt Street, maybe that was a sister...
We just moved into our new home a few weeks ago at the intersection of Meridian Street and Compass Avenue in Chino, CA.
The other streets in the subdivision are Equinox, Orion, Navigator, Southpoint...

Needless to say, my question was more facetious than serious.

where the curve data hurts more than it helps...

a friend of mine had the pleasure of naming the roads on a subdivision. he used 'Skinner, 'Wormer', and 'Rooney'. can you recognize the theme?
Blake
Did you help me stake that concrete channel out there? It's been so long I can't even remember who was with me...
Blake
Nope, not me. I had the "pleasure" of staking some lots in there a while back.

winnah winnah, chicken dinnah!
here's where I used to live Lot 12, Block 2. all those curves and I think ONE radius somewhere. I swear this was drawn on a napkin in a bar one night on the beach.
You guys got it good!!!!;-)
