I was running the gun in the middle of a big field about 100' from the highway when I saw a car drive by with a funny looking pole sticking out of the top with a big box in the top. The I noticed the Google Streetview log on the side. How long before I can see myself on streetview?

Have to watch for low overpasses and such with a rig like that.
First things first! If you didn't break the camera:excruciating: , it may show up in about a month.:-P

Well I have mixed feelings about appearing on Google Streetview. You see I was running one of them yellow Topcons instead of my blue Nikon. (sorry boss)
My truck is on google street view in two different towns 300 miles apart. Took about 5 months for one of them and 6 months for the other. I don't know if that is typical or not.

We drove past them in Indiana on Saturday.
I'll be looking for it in a few months>
I thought you had to be on a street first
I thought you spent all of your time in the deep woods.
out standing in my field

yes, but I own two chainsaws and I know how to use them.
It took 2.5 years for me to show up on streetview.
Last summer a tech that used to work for me kept seeing the Google car running around my small town. Turns out that the driver had rented a house around the corner from mine. They where there all summer. The camera rig looked a little smaller.

The car whizzed by while I was talking shots so I got that picture off the internet. Not sure if it was exactly the same as the one I saw.
