Any experience in using a non-seco cradel-bracket assembly for Mesa? Is quality comparable to Seco? Thank you.

Mine is Mesa and I need good and effective bracket.

I briefly used that setup when I picked up a used Topcon QS which came with a Mesa DC and that bracket. The bracket itself was well made and should hold up in field use. My only issue was the weight and bulk of the DC and it's software (Magnet). As I recall that mount connected to the pole via a ball and socket affair vs the one shown in your post.

Are you referring to the particular link that I posted? My interest is on the price difference. Seco is a bit expensive. If this particular is rugged enough then it will be good for me.

To be honest, I really don't recall if it was a Seco brand bracket other than it looked similar to your link except a ball and socket mount. It had the aluminum X-shaped mount on the DC end
