i have a topcon ds-ac+ robot which worked like a champ with magnet ver 2 on the fc-500. i recently purchased another fc-500, with this one having magnet version 3 on it.
i happen to be out with the robot and the new fc-500 and magnet ver 3. starting doing everything i normally would do with the working fc-500 with magnet ver 2. the robot was unresponsive. tried everything i could think of, even calling the seller to make sure i configured it correctly. i did. did not want to work at all. after an hour in the heat, i'd had enough. went back to the office.
i did my best Sherlock Holmes. set the robot up in the office with both versions of magnet on each of the fc-500's.
made 100 percent sure both were setup identically.
got version 2 to work as usual. no problems, followed me, did everything a robot should do and more.
version 3 sat there and did nothing.
tried to find where i could make a customer support question on the topcon website. it appears that you have to pay for customer service and report comments.
my questions are:
anybody else have ver 2 to ver 3 problems.
anybody have the same problem.
anybody know where on the topcon website to ask questions.

Where is it NOT working????
When you try FIND the robot via bluetooth, can you see the instrument name in your list? Can you see any bluetooth devices in the list? Is bluetooth enabled on the new FC500? It may not be Magnet software. There have some major firmware and software updates on the FC500. Have you checked OS versions there?
believe it or not, the new fc-500 with ver 3 had all the new updates, etc that were out concerning Bluetooth. it recognized and connected to the robot no problem. it would just not follow the prism.
