I am in search of a NYNH&H (New York New Haven & Hartford) valuation map at the point at which it branches off of the (former) NY Central in the Village of Brewster, NY in the Town of Southeast.
Any help or leads are sincerely appreciated. A snip of the NY Central map with highlighted area of interest is attached.
Thank you!
First check with the Tax Assessors Office. That was why they were called Valuation Maps. They had them, but many did not keep them.

You will probably find it in the UConn digital archive:

This may not be much help, but...
I recall that when I worked at Hayward & Pakan in Poughkeepsie that the Survey Department had possession of quite a few old RR Maps, mostly the Hudson lines. I know that the company was acquired by Spectra Engineering, but a quick search gives the appearance they don't have business inn the area at least. I don't know what may have happened to any of those type of records. Perhaps someone at Rhode, Soyka & Andrews could have some information (all 3 of the principles worked there at the same time as I). The man in charge of the Survey Department at my time there was Roger Mastri, whose long since retired and last I knew he was still around two years ago because he stopped in at my dad's wake to pay his respects. Another person that might be a good contact is Ken Salzman in Pawling, whose been known to venture around on here from time to time.
Let us know what you find, if I think of anything else I'll post.
Good luck

Paul, thanks for the idea. COVID hours (for us and them is a bit difficult, but perhaps not impossible)
Peter, Wow, that is a great resource. Too bad it stops at the state line though!?ÿ
Richard, thanks for the tip. We'll touch base with Ken next week.
?ÿ
I did some digging in the maps provided at a seminar we had with Charlie Tucker and might have what you need, but might not.?ÿ See if you can find him - he would be the go to guy.?ÿ Give me a call; should be in late Monday or all day Tuesday.
Ken
I got these and have been very happy with them. I dont think they have what you want but i always mention when someone is seeking railroad maps in the northeast.?ÿ They are great quality too.
