Another fine day in Lawton Oklahoma. My desk is starting to look like a real working desk now. Michelle our Right of Way agent calls and asks about some maps and research I did on a 42" raw water line built between Lake Ellsworth and Lake Lawtonka. I sure remember that and it involved a lot of condemnations and hunting up journal entries on the old microfiche at the courthouse. I told her where all the files were (on our servers), plotted out a few things for her and took her my file with the deeds for all the easements. She calls back and asks if I would attend a meeting with her , the police, the city manager, and our public works director. I said "Why, you have all the stuff?" She said they have been sending me e-mails that you sent back in 1996 concerning some of the issues. E-Mails from 1996. Holy Moly. Handle all that and Micheal, my boss says we need to go up and shoot some shots at Lake Ellsworth for a proposed new bathroom and boat launch. We are in the same trailer and can yell back and forth but we are not in visual sight of each other. He hears the door slam and then calls me on the phone. He says "Let me guess, you have loaded the equipment are outside in the van?" He sure knows me. I love getting outside.

And this bank is interesting. We have been a draught for several years, it seems like a decade now. We were driving in the van in the lake bed and the water level used to be splashing up near the top of this at Lake Ellsworth. So sad.

But this is my pet peeve. Dumpers and those with no regard for nature or our lands.

Everytime I ride the Harley out to the Wichita Wildlife refuge I pick up a bag or two of trash to put in the dumpster, which is usually close by. I can just picture some jerk saying "Oh how I love being out in nature" and then tossing his wrapper to the ground.

But did I have a good day. You betcha'. (and that was not meant to spur any political debate). I could see a lot of things today but none of them were Russia.
