and yes, it sucked.?ÿ
Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
Hey, don't knock it...
The sky was blue 🙂
And you weren't working in an office 🙂
And you got that point 🙂
Hell boy, that's just snow.
Where's the 7 feet of sandy loam and clay....
JK.
Nice work. Sweating in that climate can kill you quickly.
Hope you're enjoying your bourbon tonight.
As I have absolutely no idea, my question is: How deep can the snow be and the magic witching stick will detect the monument?
@holy-cow About 3’. Snow there was closer to 5’. Had to clear a couple feet to get any ring and by the time I got down to the darn thing, the hole was too deep to climb out of. It’s all the brush in the snow that really brings out the true joy.

Pass.
@jimcox the sky is always blue and it's sunny and 72° in the office year around. Don't knock the office life because the years of the field life tend to beat you up.
@chris-bouffard I must say, I don’t mind office days so much when it heavy rain or snowin n blowin. It’s the nice calm sunny days I’m itchin to get out in the field.
@on_point AMEN, some times the itching is real but after beating your body up for 30 years or more, the chair at the desk in pretty comfortable.
Don't miss those days, but mine were in the Mid-Hudson Valley. When I was visiting after moving to AK a few of the people that I used to work with asked what the Winters were like in Juneau, I remarked that they were pretty much the same as I grew up in. not sure about your part of AK, only went to Anchorage a few times for the conferences.
@richard-germiller Record snow year here. Number of roof collapses. In a couple weeks it’s all going to begin to rot and what comes after that will make field work next to impossible. The higher up muckymucks decided I needed another manager more than field help and then act puzzled when I talk about retiring early.

Worst
