Larry Phipps - News update
Just received a news update from Allison.
He did well in surgery. He's back in Neuro ICU. We should get pathology report in 3-4 days. We anticipate chemo and radiation treatments if he does well with the surgical recovery. Thank you so much for all you've done to help us. Please keep Larry in your prayers.

I'm not disputing anything, but does anyone know for sure this is our Larry?
I just called the hospital in Raleigh and they know nothing about such a patient.
Unless someone knows of a different given birth name he may have.
As for personal matters Larry is quite private about that stuff so who knows. He sure knows more about me than I him. I could call his brother (and partner in the field) but can't find his number either. Never met his new wife so I can't call her. Tried to call the office but the 800 number is no longer in service and now I can't find the direct number either.
I'm happy to do all the leg-work phone calling to locate him and find an address where we can send all manner of get well type stuff.

My Sweetie and I are enjoying oatmeal raisin cookies and a little TV. He's done very well with OT, PT, AC, DC, and even XYZ... Trying to do his part to get out of this place. I know he's feeling better because he says he's ready to break out of here... Please continue to keep him in your prayers! With Larry Phipps
Larry Phipps - Another Update
Day 3 at Wake Med and Larry is showing off as an overachiever. He was moved to the stepdown unit last night around 11pm. He's been walking with the PT and doing some brain games with the OT. His sense of humor is fully intact and he's making jokes like always. He's still very tired because his body is going through a lot. Julia and Allison are taking turns sitting in the room with him today. I'm making sure they both eat and rest. Larry will not be ready for visitors for a while yet, a couple of weeks or more. Too much stimulation is really exhausting for him so we're keeping things quiet. Thanks to everyone who has reached out to our family. We appreciate it!

Excellent news, but.........
Raisin cookies are the handiwork of the devil. They will give you all sorts of negative health issues. I qualify under about a dozen of those negatives from having eaten too many of them.
