I bought a used Topcon Hiper Lite Plus base a few years ago for doing OPUS sessions only, I didn't have a rover. Recently I sold it on Ebay but the buyer returned it because the RX light is not blinking. I think this means the radio is not sending/receiving. Anybody know what I might could do to fix this so I can sell it?

The absence of the Rx light blinking could be a result of the modem being turned off.?ÿ When using HiPer Lite+ units as network rovers with Survey Pro controllers, I have noted that the commands that Survey Pro sends to the receiver results in the radio modem being powered down.?ÿ Changing back to base/rover operation required connecting the receiver to the configuration software and instructing the modem to power on.

The other possibility is that the modem is no longer functional.?ÿ If that is the case, it is likely done as a base/rover unit.

As Jerry says it could be just a setting. If it's a hardware malfunction, which is very possible, you are out of luck. Parts are not available.?ÿ

I had mine go out a couple of years ago. We were able to get some value out of them as a trade in on a pair of Trimble R8s'.?ÿ
