I was asking a local surveyor if he was hiring.
He said, "I don't don't need much help right now."
I said, "I'm not much help. I'd be perfect for the job."
I worked as an instrument-man for a crew chief who hated to work the rain. If a few drops would fall he wanted to pick up. He was a duck-hunter and would take several days off and sit in a duck blind in the rain all day. I used to tease him about that.
My Pop fired me when I was about 8 because I wanted to watch 'Emergency' on t.v. instead of making blue lines. Mom mad him rehire me:-)
