In the August issue on page 18 in the SURVEYING & MAPPING LAUNCHPAD they share several new Apps and products.
One app allows for; "accurate pin placement...explore golf area, land survey, golf distance meter...construction...".
I saw an app not too long ago that said it would, using cell phone GPS, allow a land owner to locate their property corners based off the file that the company sent them.
i know i've related this before, but went to as-built a site that was flooding. asked the super who laid it out. he had. with an iphone. told me he couldn't figure out why we surveyors would spend tens of thousands of dollars on gps when he could just set his phone on a hub.
Stupid people have been around since the dawn of time. Somehow, selective breeding principles have not been effective in their elimination.
