Yes this was with a reset of the RTK engines up to 25 times on each shot.

This is all very interesting. I guess our equipment is just not up to snuff as we could never get these kinds results in canopy. At best I would set it for 2-5 feet horizontal when tying wetland flagging and felt OK, but otherwise would only use it to get in the general area for a search. Is anyone getting decent results with this equipment and techniques using a non base station but using a subscription correction service instead? Aside from JAVAD, what other systems work well under canopy? Our older Champion receiver is certainly not capable.

The way I understand it. Essentially Javad system is performing in real time that which other systems can only do in PPK.

Running fast static, short baselines, GNSS, and post processing with at least one receiver in area free of multpath will yield similar horizontal repeatability, as stated here by the Javad guys. Their system is a much smarter box doing lots of real-time processing, checking, re-initializing and rechecking, even post processing to check again with OPUS like system. All done on the fly and rechecked again using CORS data when wifi and data is available. All this is done in a single magic box with very little user input if any.

Let it be very clear that we are talking only horizontal position in this thread, as accurate Vertical will never be accomplished under such harsh multipath conditions.

Vertical spread definitely opens up in these places, Lee. I wouldn't establish a benchmark here.

Is the LS capable for topo under heavy canopy? More than 90% of my work is topo and I need some tool that can effectively help me in carrying the task with great speed without sacrificing acceptable accuracy.

This brings up an important point. WHAT is heavy canopy?
HEAVY canopy, for my old gear, is not heavy canopy for the LS.
There are places where it is simply NOT as efficient, for getting 700 shots a day.
But, there are places where topo is not a problem.
That, before were impossible.
Maybe a video, of all day working, and condensed, (speed up the video play speed), with voice overs, and screen shots, would give you an idea.
Takes work to make a good video, like that.

Hi Nate! Thank you for sharing your experience using the LS. Can you please show some videos doing some topo works using the LS under canopy that you think very difficult to cope up with other brands? Regards.

I don't have a video... like that.
Sorry.
Maybe somebody can make one.

This was yesterday. I got 2 shots, fully confirmed. They were 0.10' apart, plus after post processing, they were within a few hundredths.
And, yes, the woods were that dark. I was on that point about 25 minutes.
Disgustingly good!
