We are trying to get a TSC2 working with our Robotic Geodimeter. I was told all we need is to update the PVX (??) board in the instrument, get a new cable to connect the collector to the radio, and it will work. Does anyone have a setup similar to this? I am currently running the face plate on the rod for my data collector. It is causing a lot of extra work for me and the draftsman on big topo jobs.

What software are you running on the TSC2? I use a Ranger 300 (same hardware as a TSC2) with TDS Survey Pro 4 and 5, and it works fine with an Original Geo600. The only thing is that I have to manually turn on the radio at each set-up, since for some reason the automatic on/off stopped working with Survey Pro v4.

No, it still has the original board. Does Trimble Access have Geo600 as an option, or are you trying to use Trimble5600 as the instrument setting? I have heard Trimble5600 boards were used as replacement boards in Geo600s, so it could be that to work with Trimble software you need a 5600 board.
