I'm hearing conflicting info. I have heard that you need to replace the screen and keyboard as one unit for ($1100+) and I've read on here that you can just get the screen replaced ($50diy or $350).

If you have had the screen for a FC 2500 replaced please explain the repair and if you could give me the contact I would greatly appreciate it.:-S

Thanks,

Forrest

Mine is in right now for the $1100 treatment by a Topcon fixer. The DIY option I saw was for a FC2000 not the 2500. If I get another four years out of it I won't complain.

I think, I do not know, the 'touch screen' sensor and the lcd are two separate items. I took it apart to make sure there wasn't a loose wire or other easy fix and I found a fair about of lime dust in what I deemed to touch screen sensor. The lcd seemed good.

I will be much more attentive to the dust issues this time. It won't ride in the cradle when I go down the road.
I will replace the screen protector more often and more gently.
I will keep my 0.5mm 4H off it.

I was a real bad boy with it the first couple years I owned it. :pissed: I won't treat my baby like that again.

Steve
