I have been looking at a few used Epoch 50 receiver base combos and almost all of them are being sold with the Pacific Crest PDL 25 khz radio. Does anyone know if this radio can be narrow-banded to meet the new FCC requirements? It is my understanding that the PDL radio has been replaced by the ADL model, therefore is this radio obsolete? What does a new ADL radio cost? Any info would help.
Thanks

I paid about $2200 for my ADL Vantage Pro back in December.
I really like the new ADL. It goes a lot further than I care to RTK. The digital UHF radios on my GR5's are very sensitive.
From the Pac Crest website:
FCC Narrowbanding
By using the PacCrest downloadable configuration software, available here:
Pac Crest Configuration Software
You can reconfigure the PDL bases (and/or rover radios) to operate in the 19,600 baud range of 25khz, but it is "FMR" or "F something (under a different tab)" and not GMSK.
Those are great links, thanks!:-D
