B-)
Thanks.
We have this, it's in the same thing. It prints out pdfs from programs. This is what we use to make pdfs from Microsoft Word and Carlson
Any ideas on if they are going to make it into a Word format? Also, tried the CutePdf, doesn't work. Only works w/Acrobat. Talk about a monopoly...

I wonder why the change to the paper size as well.
It is rare that we have to print anything on legal size paper these days.
even the deeds that are available on line and are scanned in at legal size, we still print to fit on a letter size paper and they are perfectly legible.

I converted them to Word for you using Acrobat, not always that good a conversion but these look OK. Too large to attach though but you can download them here.

For those of you who can view the new form, is there any provision thereon to indicate the use of GRAV-D datum, or are they still requiring a physical "monument" only?
Jim,
Attached is a 'clip' of the form.

For some reason the text boxes aren't showing up allowing you to edit the file...
Roger,
Thanks! While you are at it, do you mind converting just pages 3-7 into a WORD Doc? That would be sweet!

in word 2013 you should just be able to type in the boxes but it won't be as well setup as if you do it in a pdf reader/editor.

you should be able to delete the pages you don't want?
I just contacted our local flood-plain coordinator (Louisville KY MSD), and they told me that the old certificates are still valid.

I tried your conversion and it dIdnt work well for me ... When I tried to edit the fields to add the data it would shift other text and check box features around in a way that doesn't make sense.
When FEMA created their word version of the old cert, the "locked" everything in place except the data fields .... I don't get the impression that a good form is easy to make, so I'm hoping FEMA will post a Word format when the update their official elevation certificate download page.
I do appreciate the effort, though.
Does somebody at FEMA have "silent financial arrangement" with someone at ADOBE.
My Adobe XI Pro faultered after an update was installed on my Enhanced Dell hub computer. Will have to reinstall and forget the update.
Adobe XI Pro on the P6 Diamond opened the file with no problems.
I reckon not all motherboards are the same.........
Someone in this thread posted the new EC and when I opened it, it is a word document and on 8 1/2 x 11. I called FEMA and they told me as long as the insurer accepted 8 1/2 x 11 they are OK with that size. She did tell me FEMA is trying to be more "up to date" on paper sizes so my guess it 8 1/2 x 14 is "modern"? Gosh, maybe in the future we can hope to see 11 x17.
Using Adobe DC, (Adobe on-line Acrobat subscription), opens the pdf just fine, text entry fine, but same old problem with image inserts. Has anyone found a solution?

I was wondering that exact same thing...
I wouldn't mind a PDF format if you can insert pics, save it, and edit it later. Seems like you can't do any of that ... easily, any way.
I'm going to keep using the last form until they update their official website. I'm still hoping they put out both a PDF and Word format, like they did last time ... maybe that is why they haven't posted the new el cert, yet, they are still working on the Word format.

It's funny that their site says it was updated Jan. 6th, but nothing is actually updated.

Noticed that, too.
Like you, I'm going to wait until it's replaced. I tried working with it last night, but got frustrated and quit.
