Would you treat an elevation certificate on a strip mall with 10 stores/offices just like one for a residence?

It all depends on how the building is constructed. Is the building all one continuous slab? Do you have access to the construction plans to see how the building was constructed? Do some areas have flood vents, while others do not?
I like to photo and document just about everything to let the insurance comapny see everything I do.
