Perfect for stockpiles. I hope they start using it for major accident surveys on major highways and interstates.
I've fiddled a bit with the surface data output from drone camera surveying. It is interesting. I see it as a good tool, assuming that the initial setup and control is good. Of course, that's probably true of just about any technology that was considered new in the history of surveying...
I am wrapping up a drone based topo now. The site was impossible to walk. The check took longer than the survey...
