I am working on a large ALTA on a tract , with a old home place . I noticed on a recorded plat from the 40's it had noted a cemetery in a particular location. So I scan the plat and insert it into Carlson as a tiff file and orient on my current boundary . Sure enough it shows up on our tract . So I send the guys a couple cords, and they find this. Low square block wall . Had GPR guy out and he found numerous areas of interest. I almost over look it on the plat, the scan the county has on line, is not very good . I hate to think if they started grading, and this come up. Probably end the company. Now I have to give someone possible bad news or good.

Had just one grave show up on a major Subdivision plat a few years ago; we had to redesign the main access road to stay way from it. I understand the owner of that particular 5 acre lot ended up rebuilding the old fence and setting a new grave marker

Stumbled onto a headstone once while searching for a section corner stone in a rare area with no roads on the section lines. It was nearly buried in leaves and small limbs within a few feet of a fence intersection separating four large tracts. The date was in the 1850's, which would have been prior to legitimate settlement in that specific area.
