Many have seen the Bibb/ Monroe Line dispute play out in the newspapers and blogs most of which have been one sided; for those who would like to hear from the Surveyor and how he determined his line, Terry has made a website:
www.bibb-monroecontroversy.com. He has posted several documents along with a very well put together Video (Kemp Video). The video runs approximately 20 mintues.

David,
It working now?
Hey snoop, this is a case where they are trying to find the location of the ferry. There have been a lot of people interested in this one particular ferry down near the Bibb/Monroe line. Some think they have found the ferry but others are not convinced.
They should call Coop I know he used to be an ferry enthusiast if not a outright expert.
Yes, this is the one that involved a ferry crossing. Did the surveyor ever get paid, I know that they were withholding payment? Right or wrong, he clearly put a lot of time of effort into this and should be paid for his service/opinion.
I've been following this from a distance for several years. After reviewing the current version of the web site all I can say is WOW!!! The main video ends with the company logo and "established 1983 destroyed 2009" quite a statement! Also says in some of the documents that, by the time he got payed, interest on the money borrowed to do the work ate up everything. One document, link, really shows this gentleman is more than slightly P~O~. He goes straight at the chairman of the state board of registration with very serious accusations. Anyone here got the guts to do that in your state?
It has become apparent that the recovery of the ancient Waller’s ferry landing is still confusing to some of the readers. I ask that you take the time to watch the Intro video in its entirety. The narrated aerial demonstration that you will see fully explains were Waller’s ferry landing was located in 1822.
The Intro video explains the documented fraudulent removal of that landing and the relocation to a point far upriver in 1825. The fraud that allowed that permit was discovered in 1826 and the ferry was returned to its original site by legislative act in 1827.
The petition for that 1825 permit, with its fraudulent wording, is the very document that Bibb County used to convince Secretary Kemp to overturn the full endorsement of my Survey with Plat by Administrative Law Judge John Sherrill.
I believe that those of you who are history oriented will find particular interest in the full accounting of the entire involvement by the Georgia Legislature, for which the video was crafted. After you watch the video, go to the documents tab and open “Demonstration of the Fraud of Pierce A. Lewis”.
See the hyperlinked documents!
By the way, this Website was created for the benefit of my fellow Surveyors, and our profession. Don’t be intimidated….you are being told the full truth here; take a little time to be proud of what devotion to our profession has allowed me to share with you.
I will be happy to answer your questions.

Seems to me that GA has a history of this sort of problem; not paying the surveyor when the results aren't what is wanted!

Andrew Ellicott!
A prominent supporter of Snyder was General James Wilkinson, one of the four generals that Ellicott had denounced eleven years earlier. Ellicott returned to private practice and was hired in February 1811 by David B. Mitchell, then governor of Georgia, to re-survey the border between Georgia and North Carolina to settle a border dispute between these two states. Although he started out in July, his expedition was delayed and had to work throughout the hard winter. Ellicott confirmed earlier findings that the border, which was supposed to follow latitude 35°N, was several miles further south than the Georgians claimed. His report was not well received by the Georgian administration, who furthermore refused to pay his fees. Ellicott returned in July 1812 to Pennsylvania.

You're in good company I would say!
Welcome to the site, Terry. Thanks for all the great work you've done on the project, too. I've been following it (as best I could from an arm-chair) from the start. Been very impressed with the depth of research. I think we may share part of the same history gene. Love the stuff.

I tell you what..
I would never work for EITHER of those 2 entities unless I was paid COD. They have no legitimacy as far as I am concerned.
