A PLSO (Oregon) member just shared a letter with me that he obtained from Kurt Schrader's office (Oregon Congressman). I think it is an excellent letter and just have to share!

That is a great letter. I could have sworn the last signature on the left side was from Mel Brooks, until I checked the printed list at the end. Are all those people members of Congress?

I think all of them are members of congress, and it is an excellent letter.

This letter doesn't seem right. No Congressman's name, no district he represents, no office address, no phone number. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a letter from a Congressman, could be legitimate, but just seems wrong.

Actually, I can't see a letter being sent out under that letterhead unless some legislative action has been taken.

Even if it's a committee motion, the various committees have their own letterheads.

Even if it was all 435 mmbers, they shouldn't be representing that they are speaking for Congress at this point.

On the other hand, maybe this letter is the result of some motion or committee recommendation.

In any event, their sentiments are correct for a change.

Would not be a bit surprised to find out that the intent of setting LightSquared up on the frequency band requested to be permitted is to place them in a position to disrupt GPS with the push of a button. Need to know more about where the idea originated and who is financing it. Too close to a national defense frequency to be anything but intentional and should be blocked until a thorough investigation into the organization is completed. Those who fast tracked this, need to be investigated and charged with knowingly aiding a potential national security threat.

The letter is legit. One of our nearby Congresscritters has it posted on his personal congresscritter website, Randy Neugebauer. They are not speaking for the entire congress and there is no reason why it can't be written on Congressional letterhead. Happens all the time. I would hope that the FCC starts to get a little nervous when enough members of congress sign on to something. Not sure if the names are big enough and its only 66 members, but you would hope it would get the attention of the bureaucrats.
