I'm posting this to lessen the temptation to bid on it myself.?ÿ It's at $27 + $15 shipping with 2 bidders and a little over 4 hours to go.

Ending price + shipping = $166

Probably about the right price or a little more, unless someone knows why it was special.

Thnx for the heads up Bill.?ÿ I only left $0.11 on the table.

I thought it was worth it as the only other one I have is in pieces.?ÿ Merry Christmas to me.

What are you going to do with it? I was trying to figure out how to make a wall ornament/sculpture ?? thingy out of it. They show up every so often on Ebay. ????

Well since I've never had one that was serviceable the first thing I'm going to do (after a calibration check with a steel tape) is something really really wacky and crazy.....I'm going to use it.  I'd like to run a 20 chain line or check between a section corner and quarter just to get a feel for the accuracy of measuring with a Gunter's chain.

Then I'd like to mount it on my office wall in shadow box lit with LEDs.  I could make the frame audio sensitive.  And if I cuss loudly the lights would flash and maybe have a sound bite of someone laughing....  😉

I have been using picclick.com for hunting the odd surveying gear. I myself go for "for parts" listings as I have no intention of using them but more for display/historical preservation purpose.

Saw this listing today,?ÿ

The geodimeter unit is interesting. I already got several units of various models so I have to pass or the wife would give me the evil eye when it arrives. :d ?ÿ

Good God, your starting to revert to infantilism, a mysterious event in the elderly, you don't sleep in a fetal position I hope!

After you finish your chaining episode you have to calculate a Bearing adjustment by hand with trig tables. Please publish the results. ?????ÿ

I can arrange a disco ball to go with your art work.
