We recently purchased a TSC3 with Trimble Access and I'm haveing trouble getting the software to connect to our Sokkia CX105 via bluetooth. The TSC3 will connect to the instrument outside of access, but when trying to start a survey in Access it shows the connecting to total station window and just sits. The instrument icon doesn't show up on the right of the screen either. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Access won't connect to any Sokkia (or Topcon) TS with Bluetooth. Cable only.

i know this is an old thread, but does anybody know the type of data collector that will work with the cx 105 long range bluetooth?

and how would one of these cx 105's compare to and older leica ....for example a leica tcr-705A on ebay.... i'm just wondering which would be a wiser buy - a cx 105 that is 2yrs old for 4500 or the leica for 4000 - i'm not sure how old the leica is.

-thanks

Seems like with all these cell phone unlockers, ect somebody would be able to figure this out. That is one of my biggest beefs with trimble. We have trimble instruments but we don't like putting all of our eggs in one basket. For example We just bought a Lieca Gun for deformation work. We got a Lieca Scanner also. The dealers sure do bend over for you backwards when you switch it up on them.
