Is the Magnet software a replacement for TopSurv?
Or are both available depending on what the buyer prefers?

Dunno but I hope it isn't as bad as Topsurv 8. My 1990's technology HP 48 with Survey Pro is faster than Topsurv. So are the old SDR 33's as far as I'm concerned. Plus they don't crash like the 2500/Topsurv collector that I'm using does. It's not too fun to try and salvage a job from it after a crash. It's happened to me three times so far this year.

I used to run Topsurv 8 on a fc200 and I lost data at least once a month. Switched from ver7 to ver8 and it also quit supporting my nikon 520.

Jon-yes Magnet is replacing TopSURV. The final version of TopSURV is 8.2.3. I've got both, but thus far I still prefer and mainly use TopSURV.
