I'm looking for a copy/usb key for Terramodel. It is no longer sold or supported by Trimble. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a copy? Or is anyone have a copy they are no longer using?

Yeah I had looked at that but was hoping to not pay that much. The software is no longer supported by Trimble and they no longer sale it. In all reality the software is considered dead. It just seamed a little steep in price.

I believe it is still being supported over seas.

Speak with Jerry Cresp [email protected]

I have also been playing around with Spectra Precision's ForeSight software which seems to be a re-packaged version and will open native Terramodel .pro files.

Try Hamilton Programming, I believe he used to write the licenses and might be able to help.

So it looks like you're desperate for the software, it's no longer available. But you want it on your terms and conditions?

I'm not desperate at all. If I can find it great. If not oh well. I'm just not going to over pay for it. If I was desperate I would probably be willing to pay $350.

I've been trying to find a usb dongle for SP Foresight. Local dealer is asking a cool $G for it. It was less than half of that before Trimble's Spectra got ahold of it from TDS. If anyone out there has one they'd part with ...

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

Ok but for your own knowledge, there are still thousands of active Terramodel users worldwide mainly in the pacific rim. So it's not as obsolete as you think. It still has a strong cult following and there are people who just never gave into to autocad and didn't need to change their workflow. Moreover, there is aftermarket support and developers.

'Supported' is a very lose term.

The original Foresight (Not DXM, but the cogo drafting version) ran on a terramodel drafting engine.

You are absolutely right. There are still a ton of people still using it. All I meant by it being dead is that Trimble no longer sells it or supports it. Typically when a developer stops supporting a software it dies. Normally there will always be those who continue to use it but eventually it goes away. In the case of Terramodel where the developers next generation software is crap, it prolong the life of Terramodel. I get it. But when all is said and done it is only worth what somebody is willing to pay and I'm not willing to pay $350 for it.

Brand new here. I am also looking for a USB key with as many modules as I can get. I would have purchased the ebay item, but just saw it today and already ended.
