Can you use this software to open and "convert" the newer Survey Pro data collector files (*.survey) to the older file format (*.job and *.raw)?

Thanks,
Jimmy

Search the Spectra website for the http://www.trimble.com/globalTRLTAB.asp?nav=Collection-67417&apos ;">JXL Style Sheet Converter. That's a free utility that will convert your .survey files to .jxl or .job format, among other things.

On further review, it converts various formats to the jxl format, not to job.

Thanks Mark. I downloaded that last night, installed it and looked at it, but I did not see the correct conversion options.

I will be dealing with some newer job files, and hoping to find a low cost converter so I can review data in my Foresight DXM program.

SPSO has a function to export job files. I've never used it for that, so I don't now just how well it does. If you would send me your .survey file I'll try it for you (in the morning). Send me a conversation through the board and I'll send you my direct email address.

SPSO basic will handle the conversion of the files although you can do it in the data collector as well. If you already have Foresight DXM there is a rather significant discount you get for trading up.if you'd like I'd be happy to get you a trial...feel free to email me at [email protected]

Not really.

There is a style sheet on the Trimble website that comes close for raw files.

The best way is to put the .survey file back on the collector and use the Export version 4 job and raw file command.
