When controlling the QS with a FC250 running Topsurve in robotic mode the program will jam-up, the TS and communication icons on the screen will both have a X over them. To un-jam, I hit the stop icon, then the lock icon, and it will work fine until the next time which may be two minutes or all day.
I get the same results with a Tesla running Magnate. With a Ranger running SurveyPro it does not jam.
While browsing this forum I have seen similar complaints, plus my nephew while working with a 9000 series instrument and Topsurve has also had the same issue.
If this is a known widespread problem I think Topcon should address it.
Our Topcon rep, Brandt Tractor, is taking it into their shop next week to try to fix it. They are supplying me a "PS station" loaner, which I hope does not have the same issue.
I want to stay with TopSurve because the surface, linework, and point files interchange with Topcon Pocket 3D and both programs work very well with our GPS rovers and machine control.
If anyone has expierenced similar problems or solutions I would appreciate any information.

Have you tried a hard reset on the FC250 ? If I remember the red button is in a tricky location to reach. It could help limit the number of times you need to connect ?

One of our QS instruments will tell you the battery is runnning flat, then all of a sudden shuts down. You lose your whole pickup, unless you keep an eye on battery and change it out. The last battery warning is the first and last warning :bored: :pinch:
