Hi all,
I have been searching for a solution to this, but can't seem to find anything.
I have some solid hatching in my survey drawing and am able to give it a 80% transparency in CAD so that the underlying objects can be seen, but when I go to print the solid hatching prints dark with no transparency. I have tried checking all of the options available in the print options, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone know how to print the hatching transparency?
Thanks in advance.
Don't know about carlson but in autocad you have a display order'. Just send the solid hatching to the back. Also may be a pen issue. Change pen color to a lighter color. Don't know if you have all pens set to black. That can happen also.
Some printers do not support the transparency commands. We have a xerox that will only print 1" of the page if transparency is turned on.
I am forced to use the DWG to PDF driver then print from Adobe in order to utilize transparency. Crazy frustrating!
I found the "Printtransparency" command and turned it to on, but it still doesn't work. I also tried to export to a PDF and the PDF also shows up pitch black.
I do have all of the pens set to black and have it on the lightest setting I use. When using Civil 3D there was a setting in the print menu on whether or not to print transparency, but there doesn't seem to be anything in IntelliCAD.
I also have tried the draworder command with no success.
Have you tried changing the color from black to something else. I know ours seem to work like that.
Jackpot
I changed the color from black to the object color and now it displays transparent.
Thank you very much, don't know what I would do without this board.

Let's hope you (we) never have to find out !!
