New computer, fresh build of Carlson Survey build running on Map3d 2026. The F3 short cut to toggle my osnaps on and off, now when I hit, instead of turning them on/off, brings up every open window I have on my machine. Anybody out there know where they hide the secret button to turn of the Microsft shortcuts so the CAD short cuts will work right?

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

I got it figured out. Out with the pebble and back into making big rocks into little rocks.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

Long ago I realized that software updates amount to extortion. The updated software simply moves the location of menu items, and hides commands while the tasks performed are basically the same. Other inflated claims are something like executing commands in nanoseconds less time.

For example, I use a version of MS Paint to "invert" the colors of blueprint images that would otherwise use an entire ink cartridge to print. In the older version "invert colors" was a command located on a pull down menu. When executed the blue background changed to a tan color.

The pull down menu no longer existed in later versions. Finally, I found the method of executing the command had changed. First <CTRL> A to select all of the image. Then right click and choose "invert colors" to accomplish the same result as the older version.

Simple, right?
