Well, I should probably have known better than to think I'd come fully up to speed using Carlson Survey in 30 days, but I took the plunge anyway and instantly remembered what it was about ACAD I didn't like, like the 5 gazzilion tool bar icons and customizable menus (Where's the Carlson Reduced Complexity, Nothing but the Basics" configuration template when you need it?):-S
At any rate, I decided to focus on current needs (Least Squares and Solar) and tried to find the solar screens I think Lee Green used to double check his DOS program. I took my first batch on site this weekend, and reduced them using the DOS program, but want to see what Carlson comes up with.
I swear I've scrolled through every menu option, every tool bar multiple times, but can't find it. The maddening thing is I'm pretty sure I saw it somewhere last week, when I began.
Help?
Pulldown Menu Location: COGO
Keyboard Command: solarobs
Carlson 2009, I should add.

Thank you. Nothing in "Help" though, for "Solarobs". I'll look on line.
What version of CARLSON are you running?

It's Survey 2016 with Autocad. I've looked through the directories that were installed to see if a full manual was downloaded with the install, but I guess not. I realize this might be a fool's errand, even with a full manual. There do seem to be a ton of support options on the website though. Slow slog.
Aloha, Robert:
Nate is correct. I have 2016...Solar Observation is there under the COGO menu.

I found it and went through the process but can't find the results. After I enter the data for the last piece ("Enter angle to sun:), there's no results as in this screen shot from Lee Green. The bottom section is no where to be found. Anyone familiar with how it works?
