What is the quickest way to import microstation files in Carlson? I have been importing one at a time but there are many files.
any suggestions?

If you have Carlson 2015 or later, browse to the location on your computer where you have Carlson installed (e.g. "Program Files") and look for IntelliConvert.exe. I haven't tested it with DGN files but it does appear to provide an option to bulk convert DGN to DWG.
