Learning Magnet (ya, I know not many folks like it).
Setting up Back Sight I keep getting the warning "Must measure BS in direct/Face1"
It seems to set the BS to zero ok, but does anyone know what's up with the warning? i'm in Face 1.
Did a web search and found a reference to a post here with the exact same message. Can't find it.
Thanks in advance.

Why Wouldn't You Measure BS In Direct/Face1?

In fact, good procedure says you should also measure it in Face2.

In Magnet use SET collection for F1/F2 on back sight.

I would. That's not the question. I start in Face1. It warns me that I should measure it in Face1. Something's not computing.

Check settings on vertical. It should be zenith. If Magnet see vertical near 270, it thinks good gun is F2

That was it. Also, the advice to use "Set Collection", rather than just "setup", "Backsight" worked as well. Thanks! Still lots to read. I miss my field book and pencil though.
