Hi All,

I'm a Liscad/Leica Viva user and I'm having a problem processing a field file when I perform a station set up using "set orientation". Liscad throws up an error and will not process the data unless I either change the field file code from 102 to 101, or list the coordinates (code 061) of the reference object with the station coordinates.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and is able to explain why this is happening?

Thank you :totalstation:

Hello Heidi,

If you set your point ID to "0" when performing a station setup using "set orientation", Liscad will understand this as being a setup using "set orientation" and apply the "101" field file code automatically to your setup.
This is probably the simplest workflow when performing a station setup using "set orientation", although manually editing the field file or providing "dummy" co-ordinates to a non-zero point id will also work.

I hope this helps!

Nathan
