GE Pro reliably crashes on me when trying to use Street View at this address:

871 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10019

Can someone try this and see if it's just my installation or a GE problem?

Thanks!

Cashes anywhere in that area of NYC for me. But it seems to work other places like Denver. I was looking a Russia last night and worked fine there.

1st attempt that location caused GE to freeze frame and become non responsive.

2nd time I turned places off and it simply closed the program.

Call Ghost Busters cause there is "something wrong in the neighborhood".

😉

Aren't you in Sac? 🙂

But seriously, maybe this is why GE Pro just went free? They're tired of getting it to work?

Or am I missing an obvious joke about the address in New York city?

It wasn't a joke. I was trying to locate a Greek restaurant that I recall being near the Wellington Hotel which is at that address. A FB friend was looking for a restaurant recommendation in midtown, and I just wanted to help out, but GE wouldn't let me see.

Jim - the street view of that address in the free version shows the street on that block as a jumbled mass of boulders, like something out of a disaster movie. Past that block in either direction the street is flat again. Very weird!

Here in MD, I have come across at least one area that is "fuzzed" out in Google Maps. My suspicion is that it is considered a "sensitive" area as there are some large pharmaceuticals in the area I was trying to look at.

Perhaps there is something considered to be "sensitive" in that particular area of Google Maps and Earth......

Edit: as an experiment, perhaps try viewing known "sensitive" areas, let us say the White House (which I tried a few minutes ago), Area 51, etc. See what one is allowed to view..... prove me right or wrong.....

If you type "871 seventh avenue new York" in the Google search window, and then click on the thumbnail in the lower corner of the map that comes up, I think you will see the restaurant.
