I am thinking about getting GoToMyPC so that I can have access to my office computer while I am in the field. Does anyone else use it? If so, how well does it do simple COGO/CAD work over the internet?

I recently started using TeamViewer, mainly for accessing information on my office PC at home. I haven't tried it in the field but it has mobile apps too so you could give it a shot. I've done some moderate CAD work remotely, nothing intense, and it's a bit sluggish.
It's free for personal use.
I use Microsoft Remote Desktop. The few times I've run CAD it's been a little annoying, the lag time starts to get on my nerves pretty quick. The less kludgey the software the better it works, microstation runs smoother for me than civil 3d. I don't use survey software that much, most of the time I'm either using word, excel, project or my accounting/PM software (Vision) and it works great for those programs.
My wife did use it for working at home as a financial adviser. It worked out well for her. She basically operated her computer at work from home, in her pajamas.
I use logmein.com, same type of software. Great to have as I am always forgetting something when i am out on the raod.
I'm thinking that Remote Desktop will be handy to set up playlists for our new 100 watt LPFM station.

Will it be country, rock, top 40, or RTK Corrections? 😀
Yes, it works well as long as your connection speed is sufficient!
After being a long time user of Team Viewer, I have moved to Splashtop. Works great! Highly recommended.
I use AMMYY Amin. Its simple and free to use. I also use it to help my parents with there computer problems. Saves time and money.
Since I already backup all my files every night to www.ibackup.com I just login and download whatever I need.
