I have a DWG drawing with features lines that will only display as 3d lines with Civil3D. Carlson, Microstation, and IntelliCAD (along with all exports) display these as 2d polylines.?ÿ
How do get these features lines to export in a dumbed down DWG as 3d polylines, without doing Exploding??ÿ
Is Explode really the only method?

yes, it changed from a couple years ago, used to be aeccexport... something or the other and then changed to that.?ÿ Use exporttoautocad to send dumbed down (plain autocad entities)?ÿ for cad and if they recipient needs surface info as well, export the surface to xml.?ÿ?ÿ
Exporting as a dxf will also do the trick.
