Carlson 2013 w/ Intellicad 7

I have previously added some fonts to use because I prefer the Courier font.
I have used this font for over a year and plotted many drawings with no issues. I currently have one drawing that is giving me a hard time.

I've already double checked that I have the fonts directory looking in the right place and that the courier font is in that directory.

Here is what is happening:

Font as it appears on screen -

When I plot (either to PDF or on paper) it looks like this -

What setting have I messed up? Since it was working fine for so long, I expect that it is something I did.

The only thing I can think of is some type of scale has been applied to the Courier font. From http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918791 :

>Raster fonts are also named bitmapped fonts. They are stored as bitmaps. A bitmap is a pattern of dots. Raster fonts are designed with a specific size and with a specific resolution for a specific printer. You cannot scale or rotate raster fonts. If a printer does not support raster fonts, it will not print them. The following fonts are the five raster fonts:
>

  • >
  • Courier
    >
  • MS Sans Serif
    >
  • MS Serif
    >
  • Small
    >
  • Symbol
    >

You might experiment with the "Courier New" font.

Ladd,

Do you ever feel as if it is a burden to know all things Carlson and even slightly Carlson related?

I just logged on and saw your reply. Swapped all of the Courier to Courier New and it works perfectly.

Thanks for the solution.

Jon

I've seen that sort of effect in IntelliCad and Microsurvey.
Curious as your Carlson is IntelliCad it is in fact due to a bug in IntelliCad?
Change Font and it's okay.
Bricscad - no font issue, so I always assume it's an Intellicad problem but haven't seen any fix for it.
