I'm having a little trouble with my Carlson 2013 with intellicad where the "pick" stops working.
Once in a while, maybe once an hour, the left mouse button select won't select anything. It operates all items in the menu bars, just won't select anything in the drawing. I have to save and re-start my drawing in order to fix it.
Anyone seen this?
Thx
I get a similar issue in autocad usually an alt/tab out to different window and alt/tab back fixes it.
Just started recently?
a few things to check first:
restart computer (see if this helps)
wireless mouse? (check batteries)
check to see if new update installed.
thats all for now.

Tried all above. Carlson is the only program on my machine with this issue.
I refer to these odd glitches as "IntelliCAD weirdness". I have Carlson 2016 installed with IntelliCAD and also with AutoCAD on the same computer. These glitches happen with significantly greater frequency when running the IntelliCAD version. I don't think they are rooted in the Carlson programming. I've had the "no pick" issue a few times before. Shut down and re-boot the computer is the only fix I've found so far.

Will this be any time, or is it when you're in the process of many items?
If it's the latter, I'm not sure about IntelliCad but AutoCad has a system variable called MAXSORT which has been known to cause this kind of problem.
From AutoDesk:
wrote: MAXSORT (System Variable)
Sets the maximum number of items such as file names, layer names, and block names that are sorted alphabetically in dialog boxes, drop-down lists, and palettes.
Type: Integer
Saved in: Registry
Initial value: 1000
If the total number of items, also called named objects, exceeds this value, no items are sorted.
The value of MAXSORT is an integer between 0 and 32767.
While this doesn't actually mention the problem you're looking at, I have solved a similar problem by maximizing this value.
