Does anyone know how to convert a Carlson .FCL and .GIS to use on a trimble?
Would it just be easier to sit down and input it by hand in the TSC3?
The goal is to have consistent field codes and GIS attributing across the two data collection platforms.
Thanks in advance!
Can you export a .DXF file?
Yes, I can export a dxf from SurvCE and Carlson Civil Suite 2014.
That should import right into Trimble.
I don't think I was clear with my thought process.
What I am trying to do is transfer my FCL and GIS attributes over to a Trimble FXL file. I have tried using the Trimble Feature Definition Manager and its convert function. But it fails every time.

We use the TSC2 for GPS and Carlson Software on our conventional data collectors. The only way I was able to get a fcl file converted for use in our TSC2s was to use the feature and attribute editor from TGO to create the FCL file and then export a .DDF file which could be read by Trimble.
Can you export from Carlson as a .ddf? Data Transfer will convert it to the correct file for the TSC3 and Survey Controller. If you can, don't just copy the .ddf onto the controller. Survey Controller can't read a .ddf.
