I use the annotate coordinates a TON in Carlson. I was using 2012, and we uped to 2015. All on the AutoCAD engine. When I annotate coordinates in the 2015 version I cannot get it to draw a leader to the place it annotates. The settings that I have are like this:

And I want it to look like this:

But it looks like that without the arrows or leaders. I am sure there is a setting I am missing but I cannot find it for the life of me.

HELP!!!

I bet if you pull the labels further out or reduce that Arrow Scaler from 10 to .08 you'll get what you're looking for.

Just tried it and still nothing. Good suggestion though. I am not getting a line or anything, even if I put the coordinate text 300 feet away from the point.

I'm running Carlson 2015 on full AutoCAD 2015. With the exception of the Arrow Scaler our settings are identical and mine works......Not sure what to think of that. Good Luck.

Edit: I changed my arrow scaler to 10. Now it draws a leader but it's crazy looking. The leader should go to the center of the circle.

First, I know very little about Carlson. If this was an AutoCAD question I would say the answer lies in the label style. And the answer would most likely be turn the layer on that shows the box and arrow.

Issue the DIMSTYLE command at the Command prompt and see what you have for "Symbols and Arrows" for the current dimension style:

Setting the Leader option to something like "Closed Filled" should get you what you need.

I'm not sure about this, but what happens when you change your arrow scaler from 10 to 0.10?

That was my first thought, too. I just tried mine and this made it work properly (actually made it work improperly, as it was already set to .01)...

Ladd,

I checked that and it was on "Closed Filled". Still no dice.

I meant .1 earlier. Mine is actually set to .08, same as yours. When I changed it to 10 (like the OP shows) the leader still worked, but the arrow doesn't show. That's because the leader would have to be 10x(your dwrawing scale) in feet from the pick point to display.

At least I think that's how it works.
