All Are In The Support Folder

Barscales, North Arrows, Point Symbols and Trees.

You can customize any of them or create new ones. I have a few tree symbols that are not as busy as the defaults, plus I made my barscale a little thinner. If you add point symbols they will be included in the pulldown menu. The default is to have your symbol linework and text on the zero layer. Given that, the symbol will always have the color of the layer it is on. The insert point is 0,0,0 in the symbold drawing. Change where 0,0,0 is in the symbol.dwg and you change how it inserts. Give the linework/text a color and it will always be that color.

Where are they hiding in the program?

All Are In The Support Folder

> Where are they hiding in the program?

All of the blocks with the exception of the north arrows and barscales are managed under Settings -- Symbol Library.

North Arrows are currently called through the Annotate -- North Arrows but don't have any type of "manager" function at present to provide the ability to add your own North Arrow(s). I believe this is going to be one of the targeted improvements for the 2013 release of the software.

Barscales are placed via the Annotate -- Draw Barscale. It does not belong to any type of symbol manager.

As mentioned earlier, all of the DWG blocks (e.g. barscale.dwg) are installed by default into the "local documents" SUP folder and the location of this folder will vary based on your CAD engine and version of Windows. Probably the easiest way to find the symbols is to examine the Support File Search Path:

Settings -- [YourCAD] Options -- Files tab -- Support File Search Path

An alternative mechanism would be to click your Windows Start -- Run command. In the Run dialog box, type %AppData% and press Enter. From there, you will likely find Carlson folder and should be able to drill down to the SUP folder to gain access to the various blocks on your computer.

I hope this helps.
